Our son - YJ, He is my lil man. When he was born, I was so happy. I then had a boy & a girl. Some said that was the perfect family & that we should be done. We agreed that we had a wonderful family but as for not having any more children that is not what we thought nor did God. He is so smart and loves to read. He has always been a wonderful student. When he was younger, he had so much energy. I didn't know how to cope. I would pray and pray about how to handle his behavior. Since I had only had a girl and a very mellow girl at that, I tried everything. When he turned four he had finally finished his terrible twos LOL But now he is still a typical boy (loves to pick on his sisters) But I don't have too many behavior problems out of him. He is my sweet boy. When he started school, he made it even more apparent where his energy had went. He is a very focused student and can not wait to be homeschooled full time. For now he just enjoys me teaching him over the summer & is in the gifted program in his school. Gifted students are basically labeled and as we go year to year I wonder sometimes if it was completely a good thing for my kids to start the gifted classes. Even though they learn in different ways than other students, it is a lot of pressure on them to live up to the expectation of the rest of the school. Overall it seems to be good. Since he is such a bright child, it makes for a easy teaching time on my part. He absorbs everything I teach him. I see big things in his future. Besides loving to read, he is extremely good on the computer. He knows his way around websites and has helped me in some cases. If you have any questions about being labled as "GIFTED" please let me know.
