Yeah I agree, I must have too much time on my hands lol! I better get moving doing something a little more productive :) Thanks for reading! 

We are here! OHIO!

Well we are Ohioans! We are still trying to unpack and get established in this small town. And adjust to living with an elderly man. I know this will take time. We are really enjoying living in a small town. Nice & Quiet. Tranquility all around! We can walk to all the basic places and it is a short drive to what they call "a big town" Still is smaller than where we come from. We have a lot of time to sit & hear the birds sing and smell the fresh cut grass as we stare over to the mountains over the river. 


Cleaning and cooking hasn't really changed for 6 people instead of 5 except that one of those people are 90yrs old and pretty set in his ways. Plus trying to squeeze our house & life into a house that is already full of things and memories. It has been nice though, sitting at the table for dinner with people all around me who love me. I can take care of them all day long :) 


Thanks for all the prayers on our long trip. It went very well in our mini van packed full with two adults (me & my mom n law), 3 kids, & 2 dogs (one being a full size husky who sheds a lot lol) following a 24 foot truck with a car trailer & car hooked to the back. The truck was literally packed to the very top. With my husband and father n law driving, we followed behind.


The kids have rode their bikes & took walks everyday. They have been outside almost constantly. We are all loving this Ohio weather. The first few days we thought we brought the Florida weather but I think we were just being eased into it. The weather is still warm but nothing like the "almost can't breath, so hot I can't move" kind of weather.

Completely new journey!!!!!!

Well we have taken a screeching halt on our path & did a really big sharp turn.
Well the short story is.....
We have put a hold on any kind of adoption or foster care for right now. Plus we are moving out of Florida to Ohio. I think I am kinda in some sort of shock! Don't get me wrong, we are not moving because of something bad or anything. And I  am excited about going (we have been wanting to move to a cooler climate for years now) but it all came about pretty fast & we are leaving pretty fast. Plus I am pretty disappointed to have to postpone us having another child for a while. But after this morning I know it is supposed to be. I had a cry out to God moment this morning. Or more like a long cry more than a moment lol. After tons of prayers I have a conformation.

Now for the packing process- I know I want to purge a lot (a move it a great reason to go through everything & get rid of a ton) We are going to have a yard sale sometime (soooo not looking forward to that) maybe get a few bucks to take with us.

I am planning on cleaning the house really well as we move out of it too. Some of the nitty gritty that doesn't get done as much.

I am still schooling the kids for as long as I can then will get them evaluated right before we leave so I can end our school year before we leave. When we get up there I plan on taking the summer off. Then start school up

Going to Ohio

I am very excited about our new adventure & the biggest move we have made in our 13 yr marriage. We are moving to a small town in Ohio. I am feeling so many emotions but I am so happy because no matter where we move or what house we live in we are together. My husband & my children are with me all the way. I know we are going to go through some rough patches just as we have the last 13 yrs but ultimately we love our life together and we know how extremely blessed we are. I will try to blog more and keep my followers updated. I can't promise that I will blog everyday or every week but I will do what I can. I hope you enjoy my blog.

Foster Care

 As everyone knows we are in the adoption world, well we are also in the foster parent world too. Even though we haven't been able to adopt yet, that is still our goal. Meanwhile, we are becoming foster parents to be able to help children. We total understand that this kind of parenting is very different than birthing a baby & raising him/her. We are still in the learning process & will continue learning as we go along with our journey. 

Foster care is the term used for a system in which a minor who has been made a ward is placed in the private home of a state certified caregiver referred to as a "foster parent".
The state via the family court and child protection agency stand in loco parentis to the minor, making all legal decisions while the foster parent is responsible for the day-to-day care of said minor. The foster parent is remunerated by the state for their services.
Foster care is intended to be a short term situation until a permanent placement can be made:^[1]

• Reunification with the biological parent(s)
  • When it is deemed in the child's best interest. This is generally the first choice.
• Adoption
  • Preferably by a biological family member such as an aunt or grandparent.
  • If no biological family member is willing or able to adopt, the next preference is for the child to be adopted by the foster parents or by someone else involved in the child's life (such as a teacher or coach). This is to maintain continuity in the child's life.
  • If neither above option are available, the child may be adopted by someone who is a stranger to the child.
• Permanent transfer of guardianship

• If none of these options are viable the plan for the minor may enter OPPLA (Other Planned Permanent Living Arrangement). This option allows the child to stay in custody of the state and the child can stay placed in a foster home, with a relative or an Independent Living Center or long term care facility (for children with development disabilities, physical disabilities or mental disabilities).

The Perfect Job!

Sorry I know it has been a long time in between posts! We have stayed really busy lately. Anyways,...................

Even on my hardest or worse days I have to say I do have my dream job! I have the absolute perfect job! For me at least! I know raising kids and being a house wife is not for everyone. In my vision for life I can't image me doing anything else! I love my life & I love my job! Now in saying this I am not saying it's the easiest job at all. I might even say it's right up there with the hardest jobs ever! Not to mention it will not pay you in paper money. But it is extremely rewarding and there is so many awards!

When we got married & had our 1st child we knew we were both on the same page when it came to who we wanted to raise our daughter. I was thinking about this the other day & how naturally it came to both of us. I feel like I just don't want my kids to sacrifice for us to have more money & really in our case it would not pay us to put our children in the care of anyone else that we would have to pay anyway.

I believe a lot of people set higher standards for women who stay home. Apparently, a mother who stays home is supposed to have the most spotless house & the best dinners & the most well behaved children. (since we stay home we have time to dust, clean out closets, & make all our meals from scratch right!)
Some people think stay at home moms lay around eating bon bons all day watching soap operas.

Well I know from my experience, Because I am at home- I am the one everyone calls to watch a sick kid, or on a holiday(no school), plus with the higher standard, I am expected to have it all together. Well stay at home moms go through stages just like moms who work outside the home. Kids who are in their terrible 2s or just overwhelmed with all the stuff that comes along with motherhood- no breaks, no clocking out, full time literally means 24 hrs a day, 7 days a week. No sick time & no vacation time. & no monetary raises. No paycheck that can be cashed at the bank. You can't call off if you are not feeling as though you can do your job that day. You have to do the best you can. You can't blame anyone else for what your children did or didn't do that day.


 I know I don't always have all the dishes done, or all the laundry put away but I know I put as much time into my children as I know possible. I love them, have conversations with them, Listen to them, play with them, teach them, watch them & sooooo much more.

 I know my chore list & it gets revised all the time. With each season my kids go though so do I. I have learned so much and continue to learn. I have became a better mother & wife. I have became a better housekeeper & cook. I want to keep my dream job!

God gives us our gift (our child) only for a time. We are to train them up in the way they should go. Proverbs22:6
Life is short. Can be shorter than we want. Take care of the gift God gave you.

 No matter what age your child is or how long you have been a mother, wake up & do your job! No sleeping on the job! Our children are our future!
Even if you don't stay home remember the moment you became pregnant you became a parent. Do the best job you can.
